With so many learning resources out there, it can sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming - where to begin and what to choose.
We’ve invested in LinkedIn Learning for colleagues, with over 16,000 courses (see what we mean about it being a little overwhelming!) plus videos, podcasts, and other useful tools.
To help your colleagues take advantage of this great resource we’ve pulled out some of the key things to get them started.
Scott Hartley, Digital and Information Lead is a big fan of LinkedIn learning, he explains why:
“It lets you learn at your own pace. You can select courses relevant to your current role in areas like Business, Technology and Marketing. You can also pursue other passions! With courses on financial literacy, social media, even drawing and music theory, you’ll be able to grow and develop in the areas you care about both in and outside of work.”

Your colleagues will find everything you need on the intranet - if they’ve not had a chance to look yet they can click here , there’s a link to access their LinkedIn Learning account, along with a Guide and FAQs to help get started.
Yes! When activating your license you can select ‘don’t connect to my account’ which means anyone who doesn’t have a LinkedIn.com profile, can still create a LinkedIn Learning (LinkedIn Learning) account.
Sometimes learning can seem like a nice to do, rather than a need to, but we all deserve some ‘me time’ to develop, or just explore what interests us.
We’re getting feedback that colleagues are finding different ways of this type of learning working for them. Whether it’s about protecting some time for their own development or taking a walking lunch whilst listening to a podcast or watching bitesize videos between tasks, there are lots of ways to fit this in.
Tip 1 - know where to start
If you’re looking for somewhere to start, why not checkout the recommended collections of learning around our Behaviours or Leadership Expectations (within the ‘Browse’ area).
Tip 2 – download the app
LinkedIn Learning provides you with 24/7 access to learning, to get the best experience, we recommend downloading the app onto your personal device – this puts learning in your pocket and makes it available when you need it.
Tip 3 – link your profile
If you already have a LinkedIn account, we recommend you link this to your LinkedIn Learning account. LinkedIn Learning uses AI technology to make personal recommendations based on your profile – making finding relevant learning even easier.
Tip 4 – save what you spot
Seen a module that looks perfect but don’t have time to listen straight away? Use the ‘save’ function to add it to your saved content in ‘My learning’, you can then come back to it later.
Tip 5 – set yourself a goal or introduce some friendly competition
LinkedIn Learning gives you the opportunity to set a weekly goal for learning, it then tracks how well you are progressing against this.
Tip 6 – remember bitesize
Remember, just because a module says it’s 9 hours long, it doesn’t mean you have to do the whole 9 hours – each course is broken down into bitesize chunks so you can easily navigate which bits are most relevant to you. Pick and choose!
Tip 7 – share!
Found something good? Don’t keep it to yourself! Share useful modules or content with your colleagues, after all ‘the more you give, the more you get!’
Simon Cavell, Senior Manager Customer Experience and Divisional Support……
“LinkedIn Learning’s been a bit of a revelation for me. Having given myself the time to explore what’s available, I just love the range and quality of material. And they’re absolutely perfect for a car journey/morning walk/bus trip etc – usually the time I’m most reflective. A great demonstration of how you shift learning out of a traditional classroom.”
